I got my NOOKcolor at Christmas, and I had no warranty. I've loved it great until now, when it fell off a couch accidentally and then the top of the screen malfunctioned. Exactly where the "Continue Reading [X BOOK]" bar at the top of the screen is. It's really annoying and won't go away. Does anybody know how to fix this? Thanks,

Your NOOK Color should have a one-year warranty, even if you did not purchase the extended one. I have a similar issue (minus the dropped off the couch part), and NOOK support is shipping me a replacement as I type this.
FWIW, that portion of the LCD seems to be the most fragile. I'm going to get one of the silicone frame sleeves when my new NOOK Color arrives, to try and prevent any stresses on that part of the NOOK.
