I continue to use my Nook while it's plugged into the wall charger. It works fine, but I read somewhere on this board that I shouldn't be using the Nook while it's charging. What's the bottom line?

Bottom line is can wear out the cable or usb connection. As many complain of the poor construction on cables and bad fitting usb connection to device.
I never use while plugged in as last 8hrs for reading which is my main use and don't even plug in AC but my computer for overnight charging ready to go.
So main concern is wear & tear on questionable cable construction and usb connection. And how much flexing and moving you do while using.

The B&N cable is notoriously fragile and the usb connector on the device is put under strain if you move the cord while plugged in. You can certainly use the device while it's plugged in, but I wouldn't make a habit of it, especially if you're moving around. If you lay the NC flat on a surface, it will be safer.
