My web browser is frozen on my Nook color. The page must have a weird popup advertisement that isn't loading because the green bar is about 40% filled... I've tried hitting X (get a message- "stopping" and then it just keeps trying anyway), redirecting it to a new website, turning my nook on and off. The "back" button won't work and the "extras" (upper right hand corner) button won't work. I can't seem to exit the browser or do anything else with it. It's completely stuck. Please advise... =(
Can you return to the home screen? Is your entire NOOKcolor frozen? Reboot it by holding down the power button until it shuts itself off. If that doesn't work, try this:
1. Plug your NOOKcolor into a wall outlet.
2. Press and hold the "n" button.
3. Press and hold the power button for 15 – 20 seconds.
Thank you so much, that worked. I had a choice to reset my Nook to factory settings (which I didn't do) but it still cleared the web browser. You're a lifesaver =)
Thank you for this info. It helped me as well. I thought the WIFI feature wasn't working but then I realized it was but the web page was stuck behind the white web browser search page. I followed your instructions and now it takes me to the web page I was searching for.
