on my barnes and noble account on the computer i log in go to my nook then click on friends then click lend me on the left to borrow books but it goes to open the page then it just goes to a blank screen and at the bottom says transferring data from my book. Barnes and nobles.com then says error and no matter where my laptop is I still have the same problem. bc i got an email from B & N saying it was my internet connection can any one help. i thought it was because i just added over 2000 friends from facebook nook friends. i thought it was just overloaded but dont know. please help i would like to see other peoples books i can borrow.
My guess would be that when you open 'LendMe' it does a search through all of your friends' LendMe lists and compiles that and presents that to you.
At least that's what I see happening on my Nook.
Now imagine what happens with your 2,000 friends.
A lot more friend accounts to check and a lot more book covers to download and show. The more friends you have the more lendable books and the higher the chance there is an error somewhere.
So B&N probably assumed 99% of people would have 100 or less friends and didn't really test for cases where people have 1,000 or more friends. And they can't handle such a huge number of books and book covers and lendable book lists.
