matching notes between NookColor and PC?

I have some extensive notes and highlights on my Nook Color, and they do not match up on the "Nook for PC." Many of the notes are missing. How do I get all of them to show up on the computer?

My understanding is that notes and highlights are device specific.  To the best of my knoweldge these do not sync.  So, notes taken on your Nook Color are solely on the Nook Color, and notes taken in the PC App will solely be in the PC App.

I have not tried to match notes and highlights, and until recently believed that what one saw on the Nook for PC had nothing to do with what one saw on the Nook itself.

However, I did note the other day that the Nook for Android app on my DroidX phone did seem to know where I left off in reading on the Nook Color. 

I have not be able to replicate this but then again have not given it much in the way of testing. So the question for me remains open - when I run the Nook Color or the app on the phone or the program on the PC - does any informaton feed back to my account info at Barnes & Noble and become available to the other platforms.

It would be nice if it did. But also kind of scary in the "big brother is watching" scenario.

The page syncing is something that was added to the eInk Nook in November, and I believe recently to the Nook Color.  It only syncs the last page read across devices/apps.  I think there is a way to turn this off, as well, if you are sharing your account.

That is very disappointing. One of the primary reasons I purchased the Nook was to have "portability" with textbooks and such.  Yet, if I make noes and highlights on the device, I also need them on the pc when I am working on papers and such.  I've read in spots that some folks have seen them transfer, but can't seem to make mine work.  I may need to switch to the Fire, since the capability is there.
