problems with sd card

hi guys i have a problem. im leaving tonite for a trip and i wanted to take my nook. i havent added any books to it yet they are all on my computer. i have a samsung 8 gb micro sd card. i formatted the card and put it in the adapter on my computer to upload the books (i tried using adobe digital editions  with my daughters and had nothing but problems with it ) so i tried it this way. however when i put the card in my nook it just keeps saying preaparing sd card and wont do anythign else. can someone help?

Put the card into your Nook and format it, then you can either take it out to drag & drop or plug your Nook into the computer to drag & drop, look for the folder on the SD card titled my documents then the folder titled books.  Hope this helps.
