I've had this issue pop up several times, and I wanted to see if it was just me.
Here's what happens:
- I download a book to my Nook.
- I turn off WiFi.
- I read X number of pages of my book, adding bookmarks as I go.
- I turn WiFi back on.
- I buy another book.
- The original book's bookmarks disappear, and the book acts as though I've never opened it (including deleting the cover image and replacing it with just the title).
It's gotten to the point that I wait until I'm done with a book before I download new ones. It's not the end of the world, but it's very annoying.
Anyone have this issue?

I've never had this problem myself. But, I rarely use bookmarks or add notes.
Which software version are you running?
