Nook Glowlight acting erratically when plugged into PC USB

I plugged my new Nook Glowlight into my PC to move some files over and after the driver installation, the device started behaving a little crazy. The PC will not recognize that it is there and the Nook screen constantly flashes as if I'm plugging and unplugging the device into the port.

I took a short video of the issue.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Bad cable.  It's losing connection, getting it back, and losing it again.  I can make my NST do this if I don't plug it in well.

Try another cable (the T line uses standard micro USB, I'm not even sure which cable is my original nook cable anymore).

You are correct. I don't know why I didn't think of that before. Thanks!
