Nook Tech Support - Getting Ridiculous

I have had my Nook for about a month now, and just purchased my fifth book.  It seemed to download fine, but when I went to read it, it says it only has 1 page, and that page is blank.

I emailed tech support with my order number, and after a day or so I received a response telling me they needed my order number.  I replied and pointed out that I had already given them that, and after another 48 hours I received another email from them telling me AGAIN that they needed the order number, which I have provided a 3rd time now.

My account was debited for the book, and I want the danged thing!  If this is the kind of service that I can expect from BN for this new Nook, I'll dump it and move to the competition pdq.

Can't help you with reasonable tech support, but suggest your archive and redownload book. That may help.

Re: Nook Tech Support - Getting Ridiculous

I have heard that people have gone to the actual store and got better support than calling tech support.  I'm convinced that tech support only reads from a manual and they will ultimately tell you to erase and deregister your device then start from scratch which only works occasionally BUT what it will do is erase all of your shelves which you will need to input all over again because there is no way to save them to an SD card.  If I didn't have a ton of books I haven't read yet then I would switch to the competition.  I have been a loyal B&N customer but their technical support is a joke!

That has been my experience.  I've even had store personnel advise me not to call the 800 number.
