Nook touch not waking up?

Hi, this might be because I'm really bad with technology so I always get paranoid when these things happen but I just want to be sure:

So my nook all of a sudden flickered to a screensaver and refuses to wake up when I press the 'n' button, I've read that when your nook runs out of batteries it stops on a screensaver page, but the weird thing is that the screensavers change every few minutes...is that normal? Also I can change the screensaver manually by clicking the power button briefly.

What should I do? Should I just charge it and see what happens? Or is there something wrong with it?

If the screensaver is CHANGING then it still has power (it doesn't use power to show an image, only to change an image).  The screensaver should never change every few minutes unless you keep pushing buttons (like if it's bouncing around in a backpack)

First, plug it in, make sure the light turns amber, wait for it to turn green (full charge), then unplug and hold down the back power button (not the "n" on the front) for about 20 or 30 seconds until it says it's turning completely off, wait a few seconds and hold that same button for 5 seconds until it says it's turning on.

The Nook ST sometimes gets a bit confused and that kind of hard-reset makes it feel better.
