Page turn button requires forceful push

Hello.

When I first got my nook simple touch I set page forwarding to the bottom pair of buttons.  For about a month now my bottom right page turn button has required more force to turn to the next page.  Prior to this it would only require a slight push but now I have to press it fairly hard, and after a while my thumb starts to get sore.  Also the button seems to be making a slightly different noise than the other three.

This isn't the biggest deal because I can still touch the screen, but I'd rather use the buttons.  It's just disrputive while reading and the page doesn't turn with the first press of the button.

I was wondering if anyone else had this issue and managed to "massage" it back into working or anything.

Re: Page turn button requires forceful push

I had this problem when my NST a couple months ago.  I call B&N, convinced them that it was a hardware problem, and they sent me a new NST.  I gave them a credit card number, they immediately sent the new unit, and I returned the old one in the prepaid package.  My credit card, of course, was never charged.

I suppose the one they sent could have been a refurb unit, but I sure can't tell by looking at it.  No scuffs or other signs of wear.

Re: Page turn button requires forceful push

My Glow has had the same problem with the turn button.  I usually swipe, but it is a pain that it doesn't work properly.  The one I have now is an exchange and my previous nook glow did not have the same problem.
