issue with books transferred from fictionwise

I was one of the people who had books transferred to their library from Fictionwise, but the books do not open on my nook.  They do via the web viewer, but on my NST, it prompts for an unlock, and does recognise my information - any unlock information, past or present.

Just double-checked. All of mine load just fine, without any unlock prompt. Did you download them wirelessly, directly to the NOOK, or did you download the files to your computer, then sideload them?

Try deleting .adobe-digital-editions folder, reboot device and then openn the books, like here:

(The user not activated error fix is the same as ADE not seeing the NOOK fix.)

  • If ADE does not “see” the Nook, try the following steps.
  1. Go to “My Computer” (or the equivalent on your PC or Mac) and click on the Nook drive.
  2. Find and delete the “.adobe-digital-editions file.
  3. Close ADE
  4. Restart ADE
  5. Your Nook should now be visible to ADE, if not
  6. Go back to the Nook drive
  7. Find the “Digital Editions” file and delete it
  8. Close ADE
  9. Restart ADE (and re-connect Nook to the computer)

10.  Nook will be visible

11.  Click “Authorize Device”

If you don't see the “.adobe-digital-editions" file on Nook drive you probably need to make it visible in Explorer/Finder.

These instructions relate to ADE issues.  Fictionwise books are in the B&N account and do NOT have anything to do with ADE.

Sorry, I confused it with library books.

Not sure what to advise then, may be try to archive and re-download them?

Re: issue with books transferred from fictionwise

I rebooted the device, ran a sync, and it started working...  weird...
