1SaleADay Nook Being Delivered Today!

Wife's nook came this morning.  It LOOKS brand new.

I'm scheduled for Tuesday delivery.  These are coming from NY and I'm in the last UPS delivery district.

It's not a big deal for me as it's for me and I told myself when I ordered it that I shouldn't expect it til between the 21st and 25th.

Meanwhile, I'm making a wish list at my library and the same for B&N, reading the manual and reading tips here.  Hope I'm actually ready when it arrives!

Sounds like you will be set to go once your nook arrives. You will love it and wonder why you've waited until now to get one. Your poor television will begin collecting dust.

I ordered the nook classic from 1SaleADay for my husband (I already have one) and we're already having problems. On the second power-up, the top half of the e-ink screen is completely blank. We've done the soft reset and the hard reset (holding the the power button down 15 seconds for 6 times) and it still doesn't work!

We placed a call to customer service and they said the nook's serial number wasn't in the system. As a result, they couldn't send out a replacement right away. It will take 72 hours for them to add the serial number to the system, so we have to call back after that time and get the replacement process going. Ugh.

Have you tried contacting the company you purchased it from, the 1SaleADay?

I seriously doubt 1SaleADay will replace it for you.  I think your best bet is to be patient and deal with B&N on their terms.  It's always a risk you take when you order from a third party lik this.  I took the same risk and I know I will have to jump hurdles if any problems develop with my new Nook.

No reason to contact 1SaleADay as B&N says they can send a replacement once the serial number is added to their system. We will contact the orginal seller if B&N says, for whatever reason, that it's not covered under warranty when we call back on Wednesday.

Got Mine Friday!!!!   Charged and Exploring this weekend!  Looks new, but I am trusting that internal info has been fixed, if needed.  So far, working great!!!  Enjoy!!

I called B&N digital support today and they are sending a replacement nook via express delivery No hassles and no hoops, even though it was purchased from 1SaleADay.

That's great to hear!  I have actually been a little confused as to who "we" (saleaday purchasers) would/should contact if we have problems. 

Can you share the actual phone number that you called - I'd like to keep that handy...

The thread on slickdeals for the 1SaleADay Nooks is still active.  One or two people have said they've had easy success getting 1SaleADay to replace their faulty Nook and pay for the shipment as well.  They all called B&N first who heavily indicated to them that they were not going ot replacethe 1saleaday Nooks.

Mine was delivered yesterday.  Looks brand new, s/n is 1003 series.  It charged up quickly, the 21 free books and shorts I had in my account library were downloaded w/o problems. 

Mrs. Gregory and I are becoming fast friends.

Received mine yesterday.  Works as expected.  I have not been able to change the font size.   Any ideas?  Thanks

can you expand on your question - do you mean you can't find WHERE to change the font or that you found it but when you try to it does not work or allow you to?

If you simply don't know how to, then with the book you are reading 'open' scroll down on the color screen to PREFERNECES, then you should see text size.  if your screen is dark press the 'n' symbol to turn screen on

my pleasure.  this baord has tons of hints and tips if you run into any more issues.  I must of asked a dozen questions myself when I first got mine.
