Certified pre-owned nooks now at BN.com

I just noticed that they are now selling pre-owned nooks on their  website.  They are available while 'supplies last' so I thought I'd give you all a heads up.  $149 for 3G wi-fi, $119 for wi-fi only.

Sounds like a great deal! Thanks for the info. I'll be passing it on to a friend who is interested in possibly buying a Nook. Maybe this'll push her over the edge.

Your very welcome.   I  thought it would be a great deal for people who were on the fence or were thinking of getting a used nook but were concerned about not having a warranty.  The certified pre-owned ones come with the same one year warranty as the new ones and have the option of getting the extended warranty too.

As a matter of disclosure, squaretrade.com offers better warranties at a much cheaper price and they provide cash replacement value.  My original nook recently had a screen problem and that $200 I've gotten has gone to my new nook color rather than a replacement with a refurb unit.

If you have any concerns about warranties, squaretrade really is the way to go.  They pay cash rather than giving you a refurb unit.

The only thing is that if if the .pdb is not DRM'd then they should be able to be converted to e-pub.
