Since 1997, you’ve been coming to to discuss everything from Stephen King to writing to Harry Potter. You’ve made our site more than a place to discover your next book: you’ve made it a community. But like all things internet, is growing and changing. We've said goodbye to our community message boards—but that doesn’t mean we won’t still be a place for adventurous readers to connect and discover.

Now, you can explore the most exciting new titles (and remember the classics) at the Barnes & Noble Book Blog. Check out conversations with authors like Jeff VanderMeer and Gary Shteyngart at the B&N Review, and browse write-ups of the best in literary fiction. Come to our Facebook page to weigh in on what it means to be a book nerd. Browse digital deals on the NOOK blog, tweet about books with us,or self-publish your latest novella with NOOK Press. And for those of you looking for support for your NOOK, the NOOK Support Forums will still be here.

We will continue to provide you with books that make you turn pages well past midnight, discover new worlds, and reunite with old friends. And we hope that you’ll continue to tell us how you’re doing, what you’re reading, and what books mean to you.

Connecting Nook to PC...Can't see any books

Whenever I use the USB cable and hook my nook ST up to my laptop a window pops up with the upper half asking questions about images, then a dark line then 2 selections at the bottom. I select the 1st one and another window opens up that shows the Nook and files. I start clicking to where it says books, I click on books and nothing shows up. I don't know why but I can't see any of my books.

I also downloaded Calibre and when I open it and go through the steps I can't see any books. Is there something I need to do for this to work?

On a similar note I for some reason can't download "Nook for PC" whenever I click on the download button nothing happens.

The partition you are looking at is for sideloaded books and files. Books purchased from BN are stored on a hidden partition we cannot see.

Calibre will only shows books that are sideloaded.

Re: Connecting Nook to PC...Can't see any books

You won't be able to see any of the books that you downloaded from B&N. Those are on a partition that is unavailable and hidden.  Calibre can't see them either.

You will be able to see books that you have sideloaded into the books directory.  Calibre should be able to see these.
