She did check the date and referenced that the thread is a few months old. I still lurk around the boards but have nothing nice to say about B&N so I say nothing at all. I haven't purchased a single book from them since I had the issues with them. I have yet to talk to somebody, which was my biggest issue with them. I couldn't email them to discuss this since they send a form email back telling you to call and could only talk to someone on the phone if I felt like being on hold for hours. No thanks. The refurbished Nook works okay. Tends to lock up more than my older one but the buttons haven't cracked.

I had a cracked button on mine. I took it into a store even though it had been ordered online. I had no receipt, no box. The manager couldn't have been nicer. He gave me a brand new one. I was shocked! Of course, now I am having other problems, but that was a positive story to share!
