I am unsure if you kept your color Nook or gave up on it. I was very interested in it tonight as I have been contemplating getting a color Nook. I, however, have an IPAD that I am hoping will function as a color Nook. Because I read your problems in connecting to wi-fi, it prepared me for the problems I began to experience in trying to download the sample book for Nook for Kids on my IPAD. It would say it couldn't connect to my browser. I even went to a Barnes and Noble Store with my IPAD and they had trouble with their browser. They did manage to get the sample book downloaded to the IPAD finally. No one knows why it worked but then it wouldn't work when I tried to buy an interactive book for kids. Very frustrating but your post at least prepared me to know that this was going to happen probably. I'm just wondering what happened to you about your Color Nook and if you got the glitches worked out. I hope you can tell me the rest of your story and whatever you found about that darn browser connection.

Hmm... I've had my Nook Color for about 4 months now, and I don't really have any complaints.
Though the connecting to the WiFi is a bit troublesome (only when I'm trying to connect to a public network though). At home it connects instantly and runs smoothly. Maybe it's just not built to keep up with a public network (despite B&N saying you can connect to the WiFi in store. I have yet to successfully connect to it in any store I've been to. :C).
