Form factor is the look and feel of the device. I like that it's physically smaller, easier to hold, has the touchscreen, etc.  I like how it looks.

I havent gotten a shipping notice yet...my mom ordered me one for christmas she said she ordered before christmas but the order status says 12/28 so who knows. I'm in college at Madison, SD so seeing that there are nooks sitting in Sioux Falls exictes me since its only 50 miles from me!

It's here!! Or least it has made it to my house! My DD sent me a message that it was received. I can't wait only 4 more hours before I can start playing with it. I've been looking for that one book (you know the one) the book I want to read first on my Nook. Any suggestions?

From looking back through the threads, it seems work in the shipping department doesn't happen on Sunday night (that's why there are no notices appearing on Monday mornings) so data seems to suggest (lol) that the first notices should show up after supper time today. I suppose after the Monday first shift shipping crew hits the "send" button to distribute emails???

Okay, yes I know, I don't have enough to do... that's why I'm anxious for my Nook... LOL

Ordered 12/20 so I'm thinking it's just about my turn *fingers are crossed*

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who ordered on 12/20 who hasn't received a notice yet.  I was starting to wonder if something happened with order!  I kept imagining someone in CS accidentally hitting the cancel button.  Not realistic, I know, but I worry! 

I received my decalgirl skin today.  I'm not 100% thrilled with it, but I'm not sure why.  I ordered the Tree of Books, and I think it's a little too dark.  There isn't much contrast between the different colors.  Maybe I'll like it better on the nook.  If I don't, I'll probably try a different skin.

I ordered on Jan. 3 in store in Portland, OR.  I didn't expect anything before Feb. 1st, but last week I checked my CC and saw that there was a pending transaction for the amount of my Nook and my grapefruit backplate.  So I assumed I would be receiving a notice this week.  However, when I checked online today on my CC... the charge was gone (like it never happened).  Anyone else have this happen or know what the deal could be? 

By the way...anyone in the Portland area.  I picked up the Hutton envelope cover in Petal and the Lyra book light at the Clackamas, OR store yesterday and they had a pretty large selection of covers, cases and the light.  They seem to be the only store in the Portland Metro area to actually carry anything for the Nook yet.

This happened to me too, shortly after I ordered my Nook. My husband explained that they do a temporary hold on the funds to verify that the account is valid.  He says they'll bill us again when it ships.

I was in the Feb. 1st group and happily my Nook came today!

I haven't read anything but the "tour" but I have downloaded 3 books and I LOVE IT! I have read many negative reviews while waiting for my Nook, but I haven't seen anything negative as of yet. I am hoping the honeymoon stage never ends for me and my new Nook

How many times did you see a pending charge and it disappeared? Did that happen in January when you first ordered too? I saw one on my account recently and it is the second time but it hasn't disappeared yet.
