Feb. 1 Orders

Well I can tell you this, 

don't be worried its not at all how people were making it out to be

mine hasn't frozen, the touch screen is a bit slow but that can be fixed,

i haven't done much I am waiting for it to charge. I put in a MicroSD card Quite easily.

I would like an orange back cover, and my grandma surprised me and bought a envelope cover too! 

that was so nice of her, no i can get a light of orange cover! well I will stay till the 1st with those of you who are still waiting! 

Hope you guys get yours soon!

BTW I got mine later at night maybe at 7:30PM

and its taking awhile to charge 3 1/2 hours

I got a UPS Quantum shipping notice but it just shows billing info received, no reference to where its coming from.  Weight .8 pounds.  Can't tell if its my Oberon cover or my nook.  Am feverishly checking both b&n and Oberon but Oberon shows pending and b&n still shows ship date of Feb 1.  So, I've got three screens going:  UPS, Overon and B&N, F5, F5, F5.  I didn't know F5 refreshed until I began this mad cylce a week or so ago!  Somebody stop me!

My Nook from UPS says 2.2 lbs, so it might be your cover...

Well, my Adler cover and my light arrived today and he (UPS guy) was late with those.  I'm expecting my nook tomorrow (fingers crossed) and he has promised to be early!

BTW I love the cover!

Thanks.  UPS finally updated tracking info and the Origin scan is Santa Rosa, CA, so must be cover.  That's okay, at least I'll have the cover already when my nook arrives, given my clumsiness is legendary.  Can't believe I got so excited.  I need to get a life.

I'm bummed that a ton of people have got them already... but excited for the coming week and praying the notice shows up any minute now.. damn me for living in Cali !! haha

Just checked UPS site and my nook, tupper quote cover and lyra light were out for delivery today...due to adverse weather conditions they could not deliver, hoping I have my nook tomorrow morning, it is still snowing and blowing in ND.  I am so excited.

What was your order date?  That seems to be the current shipping criteria.

Wow! I just checked my email and found that my Nook shipped today!! Originally, every time I checked status online it was set to ship on Feb. 5 but now...WOW...I will get it on Jan. 27!!

My family and I are heading off to Disney World on the 5th so I am absolutely thrilled that I will  have my Nook to bring along some reading for the 15 hour drive (except my wife is now worried I will be obsessed with my new electronic toy and forget that we are going to be at Disney World--she might be on to something!).

My original order was placed on a kiosk at a local B&N store on Dec. 23 so I am very pleased that my original ship date managed to come over 2 weeks earlier--can't wait to play with Ziggy (my Nook's name per the other thread on naming one's Nook) on Wednesday!

As Scotty says in the new Trek film--"This is exciting!"

First of all, I had the HARDEST TIME trying to get registered to write on these boards! It was like torture!

Second of all, I have been lurking here since I got a nook for Christmas and found out I was in the 2/1 class.  I am SUPER EXCITED to join those people who have learned their nook has shipped! I checked the order number my Mom gave me tonight and sometime between this morning and now the billing information has been shipped to UPS. YAY!

Ordered as a gift on Dec. 23rd in a store's kiosk in Las Vegas using a gift card.  Shipping to LV. (Unfortunately it will then be shipped by my mom to WA so I will have to wait an extra day. I've already told her I will give her whatever it costs to overnight it to me. I'm DYING!)

I am in the class of Feb 12, but I live vicariously through the class of Feb1!  I can tell from your threads how close I may be getting to my own nook.  (It's better than staring at MY ship date!)  I ordered on Jan 10, so it looks like it will be a bit longer for me, since your group's Dec 23 orders are shipping now.  I am so happy for all of you, cuz that means it's that much closer for me too.

Just getting the hang of the discussion boards too.  I lurked too for a few days before I set up my profile.  So far it has been fun and I've learned a lot about the nook.

I just got my shipping notice!!! I am so excited.  Can't wait to get my Nook.  Mine was ordered on December 24th, so they are moving along.  Hope all of you that are waiting get yours soon!

Got my shipping email from B&N at 10:30pm MT on Jan 25th. I ordered it on Dec. 21 and it is shipping from Philadelphia to Albuquerque, NM.

Scheduled delivery date is the 28th. I have the Decalgirl Library skin and Oberon Celtic Cross cover in dark green ready to put on my Nook when it arrives. I also bought a Square Trade warranty. The 3-year warranty with accidental damage coverage was $38.49 with a 30% off coupon I got from a previous warranty.

Needless to say I will be waiting anxiously by the door on Thursday to plug it in and start using it. I already have about 20 eBooks to download to it once it gets here.

Now I just need to read through the manual a few more times until it arrives.

I still have no shipping notification here, I asked my daughter to check before she left this morning.  Ordered on 12/26, at any rate 2/1 is only 5 days away. (foot tapping).  I received my cover and protective film already on 1/6 and they were ordered at the same time.  I am also in NY.

Thanks to everyone here I have already learned plenty about the NOOK and am really excited about getting it soon.  I am trying to finish up one paper book I just started last niter before it gets here. Too bad I have  to go to work and definitely can't read there.

I am the same way.  I checked way too many times yesterday and when I finally stopped checking for a while, the notice was there.

I woke up this morning only to find the shipping notice in my email. I ordeded my Nook on 12/22. It is scheduled to be delivered on Thursday. After charging, registrating and downlowing books I will open a bottle of Cabernet and spend the evening reading. I finished my last book two weeks ago and have been going stir crazy,I resorted to reading ceral boxes. It was ordered as a belated Christmas gift to myself, but not it is an early 60th birthday gift.
