Feb. 1 Orders

Ordered my Nook on 12/27 and have no word yet on it being shipped.  Life would be easier knowing it had or when.  I watched the unvelining of the iPad and I gotta say it's tempting to leave this party and get one of those bad boys instead.  Of course those can't be had yet either.

I know the Nooks keep flowing, but the wait is agonizing especially when I see some orders placed after my order date have been shipped out.  What's the deal??

I have not heard anything yet, and I ordered on 12/26. It looks like they are just getting to the 12/24 &12/25 orders today, and 12/26 and 12/27 should/might be tomorrow notifications.(hopefully)

Stepping out of lurkdom to announce that my nook is on the way!  Ordered 12/26.  And here I was beginning to think I'd have to wait until the 1st.  Saw that m-edge has finally posted their covers and after checking them out this morning I decided I really like how the bn covers are fully enclosed bottom instead of the elastic straps on all four sides so I ordered the Bronte cover in turqouise and a skin from a seller on ebay (I found there was a lot more choices and I liked the way the corners of the skin were).  Perfect timing I'd say.  Maybe ordering my accessories really helped bn get on the ball today Anyways just thought I'd post so all of the fellow 12/26ers know that it's coming, we can finally see the light at the end of this tunnel.

I'm watching the iPad news too, but I'm sticking with the nook.  I don't enjoy reading on an LCD.  I'm happy to see the iBookstore will be selling books in the ePub format, and I'm curoius to hear more about what sort of DRM they'll use.

Good point, and why I am not abandoning hope my Nook will soon be on its way.  Truth be told, I'll likely end up with an iPad too for casual surfing and on-the go video, music and games.  I'm a gadget freak and both devices have their appeal for different reasons.

So I've been watching these since page 1, never felt the need to comment... however the curiosity is putting me on edge... kansas, how did you order?  I too am of the 12/27 family, but I ordered online and am wondering if this makes a difference.  Speaking of 12/27 family, Chip I loved your poem!  Can't wait til we're all done with these threads because we're too preoccupied with our fulfilled orders... but until then, I wait, as patiently as possible.

I don't plan to buy an iPad anytime soon, but I highly recommend that everyone ahead of me in the Nook shipping queue cancel their orders and order an iPad so I get my Nook faster. Mwa-ha-ha-ha...

I ordered Dec. 26 in my local Barnes and Noble.  Just received email about three hours ago that it has shipped.  Wahoo.  Now, let's hope it works properly.

I made myself feel better and ordered an Oberon cover in Navy Blue

Guess I'll use my Unused Johnathon Adler Ampersand cover for storing my charger or something.

Just got my ship notice, ship date 1-27.  Order placed on website on December 27th, paid with gift cards and credit card.  Shipping to Boston, MA, from NJ... via Argix.  Hope the shipping fairy delivers the rest of you some good news really soon!

I got my nook today and everything seems to be working correctly.  Registering was quick and easy.  Now back to reading
