I got my nook today.  It's happily charging, and soon it will be decalgirl-ed and registered.  I was happy that the iPad announcement was underwhelming.  Even though the starting price is great, I don't think I'd want one in addition to my iPod Touch and my nook.  The iPad looks nice, but I'm not sure if it offers anything that I don't already have.

Good luck to those of you still waiting for notices!  As impatient as I felt before receiving the notice, I feel like it was worth it.

Having fun catching up on the board.  I feel like it is my life line right now!  I order Dec 28th in the store about 3 in the afternoon.  Still NOTHING!  Here I sit waiting still.  I am excited to finally see someone with my order date getting a shipment notice but I do wonder why others on the blog who ordered 12/26 and 12/27 haven't received anything yet.  I get nervous that I have heard nothing and pray nothing is wrong with my order.  That would stink after all this agony!!!!

Hope something is in my email in the AM,  Good night fellow awaiting nook pals!

Got my notice, woohoo!!  It just came as I walked in the door a few minutes ago.  It says 3-day select, and doesn't have a sceduled delivery date yet.  It's coming UPS.  I'm hoping that today is the first day of the 3 days and I'll get it on Friday, but I'm thinking it'll be Monday (which is so not fair, that's a whole 5 days away!)  Either way I'm thrilled that it's on its way!

DUH!  *with valley-girl bounce*  Sorry, all.  Joke with my friends.  *sheepish smile*  BUT...  happy pie!  GUESS WHAT CAME TODAY!!!  I got the email on my phone 2 minutes after my break ended and I had to get back in the classroom with my ONE 2 year old.  So I texted DH (my text was all in caps) and had him log into my email on a real computer and verify via UPS what B&N had emailed me.  And it was true!  Scheduled delivery 1/29/10!!

I ordered in-store on 12/26 with $275 worth of B&N GCs.

In honer of the occasion, I have a filk to the tune of "Tonight".

My nook, my nook,
The time I didn't look,
My nook was shipped today!

Edited to add: I just ordered the Alice case. Of course there was only free shipping if you spend 25 dollars, and that case is 24.95, but I expedited it anyway so I guess that doesn't matter. My nook is scheduled to arrive tomorrow (to my Mom), and i expect to get it in WA by Saturday. AAHHHHHH Not sure if I can wait!

I know I'm up at this ungodly hour, but i received my shipping notice at 1:44 a.m.  Woo hoo!

Ordered online on 12/28.

Billing information received at Jamesburg, N.J. on 1/27 and it's with Argix Direct, which uses the US Postal service for "final delivery."  My order page says "expedited delivery" but nothing on the shipping notice or Argix tracking page says when my nook will actually be delivered.  I just don't associate the Postal Service with the words "expedited delivery," but I digress.  LOL!  I'll check later today to see if the tracking information is updated.

From New Jersey to Maryland should not take long...

Anyway, I'm psyched!!

my daughter received my  Nook shipping notice last night and did not tell me until just this morning.  She pulled up the Ups tracking and it has a delivery date of TODAY!  I did not think it would get here that quickly but my husband used to work at UPS and he believes it should arrive today.  So now all I have to do is make it through 3 middle school lunch periods with the kids and back home to charge it up. I will be reading on it by tonite...hopefully. 

It is coming from Secaucus NJ to Saugerties NY., its only about 3 hours awaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyy!
