woot, I got my shipping notice at 1:48am.  I ordered mine Dec 27 @ 10:30am.  It is not trackable yet, but says it is coming from NJ.

Ordered online on 12/28.

Billing information received at Jamesburg, N.J. on 1/27 and it's with Argix Direct, which uses the US Postal service for "final delivery."  My order page says "expedited delivery" but nothing on the shipping notice or Argix tracking page says when my nook will actually be delivered.  I just don't associate the Postal Service with the words "expedited delivery," but I digress.  LOL!  I'll check later today to see if the tracking information is updated.

From New Jersey to Maryland should not take long...

Yay EastCoastBird! Congratulations! I'm in Maryland too and mine has finally made it to the post office this morning so I think I'll have it in my hands by noon. 

About Argix....... *insert frowny face here* It took one whole day once it arrived at their facility for it to leave, then once it did it passed me up and went to Columbia and sat there for another whole day (it took 8 hours for it to travel from NJ to MD, go figure.

Long story short, my delivery notice came on the 25th and it's at my local post office this morning. I hope you get it Saturday, but it may be Monday. I thought it would come overnight because of the proximity... nada!  

In any event enjoy it! I'm dying for my mail woman to come!! (Argix brings it to Columbia then drops it in the local mail...)

I just updated my UPS tracking and YIPPEE it is out for delivery locally at 06:33. 

And on top of that it is snowing like crazy so they may end up closing schools and I will be able to sit and wait for my driverJohn.  I can only hope!  Maybe this is my reward for being patient this month.

I have given up hope seeing my nook on or before february 1. Since I didnt get a notice by last nite then it wont ship today which means it wont arrive by 2/1.

I guess I will now hope it ships ON 2/1.

Hey all!!!  I am glad to report that I received my nook last night!  It is wonderful.  When I started unpackaging it, I asked my husband "Why is everyone on the discussion boards freaking out about the packaging?  It's not that hard!"  Then, by step 5, I had to hand it over to him to figure out!!  LOL!!  I had one minor freeze while I was playing around getting it set up, but was able to power it off and then back on, and it fixed itself.  I love it love it love it!!!   Almost called out of work today to stay home and read, but the responsible adult in me wouldn't allow that.  Everyone who is still waiting, have faith, the wait is worth it!  And in the meantime, go see a movie! (we went and saw Avatar last night, I was refreshing the UPS tracking page on my phone during the whole movie!!  But, go see Avatar, it was incredible!)

Another morning arrives and NOTHING!  Order 12/28 at 3:30 PM in Store in Fort Myers, Florida.

Was happy to read on the blog this Am that most have received shipping notice!  Congrats to all of you and now you can move pass the agony of waiting!!  Enjoy your nooks!  

For those of us still waiting I hope our wait is over soon however I do kinda feel at this point that I will just be happy with a Feb 1 ship date.  Starting to get nervous they won't even make that!

Still no nook notice for me either....of course I ordered on 12/30.  It seems the 26, 27 and 28 people are the ones getting thier's right now.  I really hope that mine ships out by tomorrow so I will at least know it is coming before the weekend.

I ordered on 12/29, and am still waiting.  But reading back, there seems to be a few earlier dates that still are waiting also (I saw a 12/22).

Congrats Chip (thanks for keeping us entertained) and everyone else who got shipping notices....its beginning to feel lonely out here.  Kind of like back in gym class being one of the last waiting to get picked for a team (chlling memory, hope they don't do that anymore).  Ordered Dec. 31st, so hope it makes the Feb 1 date now.  Maybe I'll start reading the Feb. 12 class posts to make me feel less deprived!

I doubt Feb. 1 is an accurate date. I'm beginning to think iPad.

If you don't think your nook will ship by the 2/1 ship date, by all means cancel your order and wait until the end of March to order a product for twice the price.

You can sign up at the Apple store to be notified when the iPad is available for pre-order.

If you're looking for instant gratification, order a kindle.  If you ordered the nook and waited this long, are you really saying you can't wait until next week to get your nook?  First of all, it's only Thursday morning, which means that you have 5 more days (3 full business days) for your nook to ship before it's actually late.  Second, you were given a 2/1 ship date.  Has B&N given you any reason that your nook wouldn't ship by then?  I know I've seen nothing to indicate that.
