Important Community Update - PLEASE READ

Hi everyone!

Important Community Update:

In an effort to improve the functionality of these forums and to provide helpful new ways to share your feedback with us, our community will be seeing some changes in the coming days.

I’m excited about the new features and even more excited to provide them to such a devoted community.

Here’s a brief rundown of some of the changes:

New Boards!

• We’ve given NOOK Tablet & NOOK Tablet Technical Support their own areas with new boards to jump into, including General Discussion, Ask Your Community Manager, Connectivity, Hardware, and Apps

New Categories within Boards!

• Much like our NOOK Tablet boards, each device is getting its own space along with new sub-categories

Accepted Solutions!

• We’re adding the ability to accept solutions across all of our support forums. So you the community can vote on what makes the most sense

Dedicated Feedback Boards!

• Finally a place where everyone can share their ideas and be confident they won’t get lost in the shuffle

While we’ve gone to great lengths to make these changes without causing too much disruption; however there are some changes that unfortunately could not be worked around.

Bookmarks will sadly be affected by the migration of old threads to our new boards. But to mitigate some of this, placeholders will be left in any threads moved and you will then be able to follow the link to update your bookmarks accordingly.

The good news is, your existing laurel count totals will remain unaffected. However, since some threads will be redistributed within our new support boards; laurels received on these threads will follow as well. We’ve decided to go this route as opposed to resetting everyone’s laurel count and starting from scratch.

We hope the changes positively outweigh any initial setbacks. Remember it’s still your same NOOK community, just a bit tidied up.

All of your accepted solutions now have a quick an easy location, along the right side column oftheir respective pages

I like most of the changes thank you for you time. But I miss my bookmarks at the bottom of the bookclubs page.

Update 12.13

Starting today, all NST posts will be moved to their corresponding boards and this area will be home to the NOOK First Edition boards.

Naturally, I will be monitoring any additional posts and moving as necessary. I urge everyone to make new posts regarding Simple Touch on it's boards, but also to take advantage of the new Idea Exchange as well.

This change should aid all of our users, (old and new alike) reach the correct discussions/support they're looking for.

Please note that little do I whine about B&N. I love these boards I thank the B&N team. The board members are awesome and so helpful. But come on! I know things are being worked on but this has gone on for how long now? The PM's are glichy. The Fiction borad kicks me off here and there as do other boards. There is a "accept sulution" button in the Writing Room. Really? We write storys there not tec suport. My bookmarks are MIA this is driving me up the wall! I really like my bookmarks at the botton of the bookclub page. The polls aren't working so why have them?(we its not letting me vote anyway) edits are bugy. So many buggs are building up and its getting to be a pain just to post! Fix the bugs! And return my bookmarks please! Or give me the option to! There you go! Options what do I want the main bookclub page to look like. Bookmarks: check. Latest threads: check. Top tagers:no check. Latest sulutions : no check. And well you get the idea. Okay I'm done now.
