More in Store Coupons/Promos at B&N College Stores

Can anybody tell me if, in general, the More in Store coupons & promos are supposed to be honored at B&N College Booksellers, and specifically if the 50% off select accessories should be honored there, and if so, which accessories are eligible for the discount? 

The cafe at our College Bookstore has honored a couple of the freebie offers, but last night when I tried to use the 50% off promo to get the Nook booklight I was told that College Bookstores do not honor the Nook coupons unless it specifically says so on the coupon. 

Anybody who has looked at these promo deals knows that there really isn't much in the way of fine print on them.  The College store I shop at sells both the Nook and its accessories.  I would think that means they should honor nook-centric promos.

I live in a college town where we have both a B&N College Bookstore and a regular B&N. The college bookstore just recently got the Nook and the in-store WiFi. I take my Nook there regularly now because I work just down the street. The in-store banner and the in-store items and promos show up on my Nook there just like they do in the regular B&N, so that, to me, means the promos should be honored.

DogStreetBookGuy, are you by chance in Williamsburg? Perhaps the confusion is because the Nook is fairly new at this store.

In fact, I AM in Williamsburg.  I actually work at the store in question, and I tend to agree with your reasoning.  However, I did some research on the B&N intranet to read about the promo stuff, got a phone number and placed a call.  Turns out that we DON'T honor those things.  It's not really a pat situation, though.  For instance, our cafe seems to honor cafe promos.  But not every College B&N will do so.  As for the accessories promo, since we don't have an actual "Nook counter" (we have a Nook table), then it was decided, somewhat arbitrarily IMHO, that our store would not honor that particular promo.

the accesories promo only applied to particular items, it was not across the board.  ANY store with a table and not a full counter display would not have had those items as part of the display.
