I know this question has been answered before but I must be computer challenged or something. I have the NE1 & my hubby just got the NE2. We have separate accts because we dont really have the same taste in books (once in a whilewe do). I am trying to download a book from my b&n library onto my computer to be able to sideload to his nook. I am having major issues. Once I download, ADE opens but shows nothing!!
What am I doing wrong???????

ADE shouldn't be involved. That's for library e-books and e-books you buy from non-B&N bookstores. It doesn't work with B&N e-books.
Use NOOK for PC or NOOK for Mac to download your e-books. Your e-books will be in your documents folder, under My Barnes & Noble Ebooks/account-email. Find the appropriate e-book file and copy it to the NOOK.

Do you have separate computers? If so just email each other the book files.

As far as I can tell this should work. Any books the two of you want to share you can sideload to the other hardware reader through a USB cable. Be prepared to enter the default CC card information for the email address on the account that particular eBook was purchased through on the other partner's Nook. Store that information in a secure place, since you will need it (including the expiration date when the eBook was downloaded) if the reader is replaced in the future.

Just an FYI, and you may already be doing this, but if you use the same default credit card for both accounts, you won't need to enter credit card info to open sideloaded books. ![]()
