I thought you all would be interested in this little tidbit from CNET.
Other than the rumored internet browser, has anybody heard what the updated software will include?

There have been a couple of posts that the CEO of B&N mentioned games.
But I'm hoping that I have the ability to sort My Library by what I've looked at most recently the way I can the B&N Library.
Being able to get books from Gutenberg with the browser would be neat.

I'm excited about the browser. I mean, even if it's not a full-blown iPhone-like browser, I could go for a text browser with a few images like on the Kindle. Being able to access mobile sites like CNN, MSNBC, or whatever will be great. This also makes Instapaper that much more accessible for the nook.
Other things I'd like to see is the Cover Flow-esque feature to be available in the My Documents section and perhaps a "Go To Page" even though there aren't really defined pages.

Given how bad the dictionary is, it would be nice to use the browser to look up words. Of course they could just give us the ability to replace the dictionary - I'd be happy to buy a dicitionary if I could plug it in and use it from inside books.

I'd be happy if they fixed the dictionary and the word search for it.

The only thing I'm really missing in the nook is the ability to manage notes more effectively. If I could make a note, and have a list of notes for each book, then I'd be happy. I'd be ecstatic if those notes could be synced with the PC software.

Like some of the others here, I'd be thrilled just to see some of the current short comings fixed, i.e. more efficient battery usage, better dictionary, better management of My Documents, etc... I really couldn't care less about a Browser or Games that would just eat up more memory and battery life!
