I have three ebooks in mind of which one I want to purchase.
1 B&N Nook
2 Bookeen Opus
3 Sony Ebook touch
My preferences are in that order.
After weeding through a lot of ebooks out on the market, I am down to these 3. All are around the same price. I would really like to get the Nook so I have a question to ask. I know it has wi-fi so will it wi-fi only to Barnes & Noble or can I use my home wi-fi with the nook? The answer will make my choice for me. I appreciate your answer.

You can access any wi-fi service with it. Provided it's open or you have the SSID of course.

I also think you should get a Nook. You can use the Wi-Fi in your house to browse the internet or any other place that has Wi-Fi. If you choose to get the 3G version, you get free 3G wherever you go.

The NOOK will work with most any Wi-Fi that is open (unencrpyted) or that you have the security key/password for. You also get free Wi-Fi at all AT&T hotspots, most of which are already free (McDonald's, Starbucks, etc.) but some of which you'd normally have to pay to use (airports, some hotels, etc.). There are a few Wi-Fi systems that it won't work with.
When you're in a B&N store and connected to the B&N Wi-Fi, you get extra benefits. Most notably, Read In Store which allows you to read many e-books for up to an hour (per day per e-book) without buying them. There are other special offers when connected to the B&N Wi-Fi, but nothing that is likely to make a difference in your decision as to what device to buy.

Thanks all for the answers. I thought it would, but I wanted to be sure first. Again thanks!
