I like the original Nook, however, I feel that it's being pushed aside by BN. I don't feel that I have to purchase another nook to keep up with technology. I guess I'm gonna bite myself in the foot by saying this, but the nook is for reading and why do I need to have a color nook or a tablet? However, with that said, it would be nice to be able to get some popular games on the orifinal nook....I do not play chess or soduko. Please BN don't forget original nook owners.

First of all, BN has moved on to the Simple Touch for the basic e-reader. Don't expect any further updates on the original.
Basically, their market research found two groups: those who want a lot more than a reader, with tons of apps; and those who want just a reader, with none. So for the first group, they came up with the Color, and then upgraded it to the Tablet. For the second group, they came up with the NST, which is a reader, just a reader. No browser. No chess. No Sudoku. It reads books. That's all.

I also like the 1st Edition Nook. I have read a lot of books! Well over 200.
After all, it is a device for reading books (at least that is what it was designed for). If you were looking for a better battery life, then I would suggest the Simple Touch. I was thinking of getting one of those, but it looks cheap.
Then I moved to the Nook Color. I decided that I didn't need to have the tablet. I also was looking for a place to store all of my e-books and be able to play a few games if I need to. Since the Color can do that and more, I figured out; why not.
