Thoughts on new forum organization

We now have 32 NOOK-related topics across 10 categories.

I don't consider this an improvement in organization/usability/navigation.

Your thoughts?

I hate it. To many categories and topics.

Why have a Nook First Edition, Nook Simple TOuch, and a Nook category?

In my humble opinion there should be three or four categories: Color Nooks, eInk Nooks, Nook Apps, and Nook books.

As it is now I have no idea where to look.

At least get rid of the Nook category if you have Nook Simple Touch and Nook First Edition. I agree too many categories and not clear what goes where.

I consider it a total mess!! It appears that in an attempt at "organization", they have turned this forum into something akin to those "organized" purses that every woman has purchased and then hated.........so many little pockets and zippered sections  that you can't find anything!!

Not only is it over organized but it is bringing up all of the zombie threads.

Re: Thoughts on new forum organization

Well, if nothing else, it inhibits sales.

People who own one Nook device are likely to want to look at user posts about another Nook device before buying.

But since the forums have slowed to a crawl, I guess it doesn't really matter.

Re: Thoughts on new forum organization

I'm guessing they left the Nook board alone because they didn't want to have to figure out which posts were N2E-specific and which were N1E-specific.  IMO they should have left them alone period - there just aren't enough N1E-only questions anymore to need it's own forum.

BTW - my shortcut goes directly to this forum so I didn't even know they made a change until I read this thread.
