Week 3/4/5 E-book promotion codes

I hate to start a new thread on this, but the old threads are so old that I don't know who got what, and who's still even looking for them.

I have some codes left over for the following free e-books:

These codes need to be redeemed by August 1, so this will probably be the last chance. If you want one of these codes, please post here and I will PM it to you.

Note: I don't have a ton of these. I'm going to be a bit selective, at least initially, on whom I send them to. When I run out, I run out. I'm not inclined to "send all three weeks" to anyone, unless by Wednesday or so I've still got all three weeks to give out. So if you're requesting more than one week, indicate which week is most important to you.

As always, a good sob story about why you need the codes might sway my choice of who gets the codes. Yes, this is a crummy way to do it. But I don't know of a better one.

Re: Week 3/4/5 E-book promotion codes

I would like Home Safe. I don't have a big sob story, just that I couldn't get to the store that week. I went in right at the beginning of the next week but they told me they were out of coupons.

Thanks either way!

Hi, Doug!  If you happen to have an extra code, I'd very much like to read Elizabeth Berg's "Home Safe."  In advance, I thank you much.

Re: Week 3/4/5 E-book promotion codes

I would like to try using a code (relatively new Nook user), so I would try either the Child or Berg code, if you have any left.  Thanks!

Hi Doug!  I just got my nook last week, so I had no idea about the codes.  If you still have one for Elizabeth Berg, Home Safe, I would very much appreciate it!

Thank you!!

I'd like The Long Tail code.

(How do I get these codes outside of the message boards?)

I would love a code for any/all books. I am new to Nook and excited to get any books that I can.

Have you checked the boards for the B&N Classics?  They're offering them free right now.

You can also search on the website for ebooks priced at 0.00 for other options.  The price is right for trying out new authors and genre :smileywink:

Then there's the Free Fridays offering every week.

Happy reading.

Good afternoon, Doug.  If you still have a code for the Lee Child ebook, I certainly would appreciate it.  Thank you for the offer!

Re: Week 3/4/5 E-book promotion codes

Doug---

Thanks for the offer.  I would like to be able to get One Shot by Lee Child.  I recieved  my Nook as a gift the day the promotion for this book expired and I didn't get a chance to get it.

You wrote "These codes need to be redeemed by August 1, so this will probably be the last chance. If you want one of these codes, please post here and I will PM it to you."

I am new at this... what does "I will PM it to you" mean?

Re: Week 3/4/5 E-book promotion codes

[ Edited ]

I have PM'ed one code to each requester so far. For those who didn't specify or specified multiples, it was for Week 3 (Lee Child - One Shot).

My next distribution will be Wednesday evening. After that, if I have any left, it'll just be a "clearance sale", where I'll hand them out first-come first-served until I'm out. I'll be going back to those who already requested multiple weeks, so you won't need to re-request.

Please let me know if there's a problem with the code. I'm having to type these in by hand, and although I'm double-checking them it's always possible that I mistyped the code.

Note for those unfamiliar with these codes: These codes are one-time use. Once you use a code, it isn't good for anyone else. To use a code, go to http://bn.com/redeem and enter the code into the box at the bottom of column 2 and click the "Add" button. Then do a "Check for new B&N Content" on your NOOK. According to B&N, these codes will expire August 1, so don't dilly-dally.

Goatcabin: these codes were from a 5-week promotion back in May and June. At the time, you could pick them up at a B&N store. Some people didn't have a B&N store nearby, so some of us on the forum picked up spare codes and handed them out.

D-Merk: "PM" means Private Message. Look up at the top of the page, just under "B&N Community". There's a line that starts with your name (D-Merk), and ends with an envelope and a number in parentheses. It probably says (1). That's the number of private messages you have waiting for you. Click the number and you can go read the message.

Re: Week 3 and 5 E-book promotion codes

Okay, nobody requested any more through the thread. I received two requests by PM.

I've sent the additional codes to those who requested multiples above. I've also sent codes to the two people who PMed me.

At this point I'm out of Elizabeth Berg Home Safe (week 4) codes. I still have some codes available for:

These will be handed out first-come, first served. Time is running out for redeeming these codes.

Doug,

I would be grateful for the Chris Anderson code.  I am planning on treating myself to a Nook for my birthday next week and would love to have a book ready to be added to it.  I already have the Nook app on my computer.  Thanks!

Re: Week 3 and 5 E-book promotion codes

I've sent codes to everyone so far.

I still have a few left for Lee Child, One Shot (Jack Reacher Series #9), and one left for Chris Anderson, The Long Tail, Revised and Updated Edition: Why the Future of Business is Selling Less of More.

In addition, a couple of people whom I've sent codes to haven't logged in to pick them up. One hasn't been on since posting the original request which included a week-4 Elizabeth Berg that I've since run out of. Tomorrow evening I'll reissue any codes that haven't been picked up. Then whoever picks them up and registers them first wins. These are a scarce and perishable commodity, and it's not fair to other forum members to request codes and then just let them expire this weekend.
