What did you name your nook?

My nook hasn't arrived yet - I'm in the class of 1/15 - but have already decided its name is Leabharlann... Gaelic for "Library".

After about 15 minutes of staring at the virtual keyboard trying to come up with a name, I ended up just pressing the 123 button and than the special-characters button. Suddenly I was struck with inspiration and called my nook: "(>O.O)> <(O.O<)"

My 17 year old daughter refused to call it a nook because my husband had ordered the nook for my christmas gift and I knew about it. (She believes that all Christmas presents should be a surprise.) If we talked about it she would call it a Knick-Knack. So, I named it Knick-Knack because of her.

Cornelius M. Hippleburg.  Me and my 9-year old son were out running errands one day when someone asked him what his name was and he responded with a serious face, "Cornelius M. Hippleburg!" His name is nowhere close to that! I figure nobody else in the world would be using that for their Nook nickname.

I will have mine in my hands after school on Monday (it would have been today but the mail carrier a) came BEFORE 9AM...on a SATURDAY!  (seriously, who does that???????) and b) didn't wait less than 2 minutes for me to pull on pj pants and a sweatshirt and bolt down the stairs and to the door (curses not having a building with a buzzer intercom system!!), so I got the nasty orange "get it yourself at the post office" slip in my mailbox.  SAD FACE!!!!  (I'm currently referring to the USPS as the US Postal Lack-of Service...besides this, the idiot I spoke with on the phone was of no assistance as he kept saying there was really nothing he could do.)  But for now I'm thinking...

Ripley the nook

Mainly after one of my best friend's band Ripley - and often referred to online as Ripley the band.

It may end up being Emily or Diana though.  We'll see.
