Re: What did you name your nook?

Eratosthenes, after the Greek mathematician & chief librarian of the Great Library of Alexandria. What can I say? I'm a book geek.

"Mister" after Harry Dresden's cat.  I may change it to Amaranth from The Dragon Nimbus though.

Re: What did you name your nook?

Okay.  Now I'm ready to share.  I received my Nook for Christmas, but as a teacher, I haven't had a lot of time until this blizzard to do a lot with it.  So I decided to name my nook this weekend.  As a child my favorite books were Madeleine L'Engle's books, and I still own those copies.  So I decided to name my nook Madeleine.  After all, her books have always been dear to my heart, and I know that my nook, my Madeleine, will always be dear to my heart, too.  Now I can carry all my books with me wherever I go!!  Wow!!

Nookie Reader.  It was taken from a colleague's mishearing of Nook eReader by an enthusiastic Barnes employee.

Mine is called Holicron (short for Holographic Chronicle in the Star Wars universe) ..."was an organic crystal-lattice device, in which the Jedi, as well as the Sith, of old stored phenomenal quantities of data, as well as the holocron's gatekeeper."

Re: What did you name your nook?

I had to go with "Bibliophile Portable Companion"

At least I 'will' go with that, just as soon as it ships... (or am lucky enough to find one in my local store)

Re: What did you name your nook?

I don't know why but I felt that my Nook was female...who knows probably because I wanted a pink cover for her. Anyways her name is Gadget.

Re: What did you name your nook?

Like several others on the board, I named mine Nookie.  I am a CPA, creativity isn't my strongsuit.  :-)
