I call mine "Virtual Escape". Because that's what it is. (Real escapes require vacation time)
I've thought of others, like Palantir, but my reading tastes change so frequently that I didn't want to be tied to just one genre...

While on the way home from getting the nook I was reading the info to my husband, and when I got to the part that says name, he immediately said "Captain". Since he gave me the nook I named it Captain Nook.

I've changed my nook's name from Dug (from UP) to Alice, it seemed more fitting since I have the Alice cover, Alice in Wonderland screensavers and the Jabberwocky poem as my wallpaper. So her name is now and probably will remain Alice

I am not very creative---I named my Dalmatian Spot, my cat Tabby, and my kids whatever was the most popular name the year they were born---but one of the things I love about my nook is that I can take it everywhere. I never have to be without anything to read again!! Due to its amazing portability, I named it "nookmobile".

Mine has been named Calliope since I got it three weeks ago but it didn't quite feel right (though I adore Greek mythology), so I renamed it Biblio-Latte.

I had to do a search but this is what I found:
Guybrush Ulysses Threepwood is the main character of the Monkey Island series of computer adventure games by LucasArts. The voice of Guybrush is actor Dominic Armato in the third, fourth and fifth games, as well as The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition.
I will be getting a Nook soon, I will let you know a name when I come up with it.

I like personality in names; Peabody G. Watson
Peabody - from Amelia Peabody, Peabody Awards, and I just think Peabody is a cool name for a gadeget
G. - For Galileo, I am into science and knowledge
Watson; The sidekick of Sherlock Holmes
I know - I'm a geek, but this is the age of the geek right
