My favorite thing is being able to carry my library with me, instead of lugging around a bunch of heavy books. ![]()

DITTO!
Nookclassic I love being able to download a book from the beach.
Nookcolor is such a clear and crisp read. I never thought I'd enjoy reading on an LCD.

The best thing about my Nook is reading Mark Twain one moment and Jane Austen the next without leaving my chair or my cherry cola - and without taking my hands off my Nook. Couch potatoes have nothing on this Nook devotee.

I also really like the finger-swipe page turning.

Most of the above, plus decent reflow of many (most) pdf files. I've read more pdf books on my nook in the last several months than in years on various computer screens.

I like the compact size, sturdy design, finger swipe ability, and being able to carry my entire library everywhere I go. Then, if I still can't find something to read, there's an easy way to find something via wi-fi or 3G.![]()
Oh, and library books!

My favorite thing(s):
Being able to have 100 books with me when I travel and the option to easily download more.
Checking out books from the library.
Being able to read what I want to read when I want to read it at the push of a couple of buttons.
It ranks at or near the top of my list of favorite things, gadgets or otherwise.

I love the fact that my granddaughter cannot pull out my bookmark and hide it.

I'll just ditto - except at this point, the library book thing is #1 and the portability is #2 for me.
I got one thinking of the advantages in bklvr896's order, but they have recently reordered for me. Maybe because since I'm still jobsearching, I'm not traveling as much.

Number one - ability to read library books
Number two - ability to change font size

The first is still having all of my books in one small device. No guessing what books I'll want to read in a week when travelling. One small device instead of hundreds of books when moving. Fabulous. That alone is worth the purchase.
For the other, consider this scenario: You are relaxing at home, sipping a cup of tea, finishing a library book on your NOOK. You reach the last page, and can't believe it's over. It was so good! You decide you'll want to read it over and over again, so you purchase it and the sequel without ever leaving your bubble bath. Amazing.

My favorites: being able to purchase books from multiple sites, being able to have all those books with me to read any time I wish, the ease of use and the sleek design. My wife's favorite is the fact that I have purchase almost 100 more books and have NOT added any more stuff to our already overflowing bookshelves and house!![]()

...not having to dig through all my other bookcases and closets to find the sequel which I remember buying, but which didn't fit in the same bookcase as the rest of the series. Also, not having to keep going back to weed out and rearrange those bookshelves to try to put all the books by the same author together again so I can find the book I want next time. Now, if I ever run out of space, it's easier and cheaper to buy a new memory card than another bookcase.
