Since 1997, you’ve been coming to BarnesandNoble.com to discuss everything from Stephen King to writing to Harry Potter. You’ve made our site more than a place to discover your next book: you’ve made it a community. But like all things internet, BN.com is growing and changing. We've said goodbye to our community message boards—but that doesn’t mean we won’t still be a place for adventurous readers to connect and discover.

Now, you can explore the most exciting new titles (and remember the classics) at the Barnes & Noble Book Blog. Check out conversations with authors like Jeff VanderMeer and Gary Shteyngart at the B&N Review, and browse write-ups of the best in literary fiction. Come to our Facebook page to weigh in on what it means to be a book nerd. Browse digital deals on the NOOK blog, tweet about books with us,or self-publish your latest novella with NOOK Press. And for those of you looking for support for your NOOK, the NOOK Support Forums will still be here.

We will continue to provide you with books that make you turn pages well past midnight, discover new worlds, and reunite with old friends. And we hope that you’ll continue to tell us how you’re doing, what you’re reading, and what books mean to you.

Certainly.  But not currently from the NOOK itself.  But note that if you purchased a book from B&N you will not want to delete it, unless you really hated the book, as it will be permanently gone.  You want to archive it, and if you want to not normally see it on your Nook there is an option for B&N content to hide archived.

To delete B&N eBooks you currently have to use their web site  For side-loaded content you have to do it from your PC.

Short answer: Yes.

If it's a book you bought and downloaded from Barnes & Noble, you can go to My Library -> Put the cursor over the book in question -> Click "View Item Details & Options" -> Click "Archive" (you might have to scroll down a tad to find that option), and when it asks you, click "OK" to archive the book.  That doesn't actually delete the book, but it removes it from your eReader, and you can download it again, later.

If you truly want to delete (removing access unless you buy it again), go to BN.com -> Click "My B&N" -> Log in -> Click "Visit Your eBooks Library " -> Find the book you want and click "Delete".  Warning: This is permanent, and you won't be able to read the book again unless and until you buy it again.

If it's a book that you've sideloaded to your reader, you can hook your nook up to a computer again, and just open nook directory, open the "my documents" folder (in which the unwanted document resides) and delete it as you would any file.

Re: deleting books after reading

If there is an arrow ( >) at the end of a line on the touch screen, tapping that menu line will bring up additional options.

You may also need to scroll down on the touch screen to see every option. Scrolling down can be a bit counter intuitive if you dont use something like an ipod or itouch. The possibility of scrolling is indicated by the fact the vertical bar at the right of the touch screen is darker in some places than others. Try swiping down when you think you need to swipe up and vice versa, good luck!

My husband and I share our account.  If I archive a book i've read on my Nook - will it still be "un-archived" on my husband's Nook?

No. If you archive a book on your nook it will also be archived on his.
