Since 1997, you’ve been coming to BarnesandNoble.com to discuss everything from Stephen King to writing to Harry Potter. You’ve made our site more than a place to discover your next book: you’ve made it a community. But like all things internet, BN.com is growing and changing. We've said goodbye to our community message boards—but that doesn’t mean we won’t still be a place for adventurous readers to connect and discover.

Now, you can explore the most exciting new titles (and remember the classics) at the Barnes & Noble Book Blog. Check out conversations with authors like Jeff VanderMeer and Gary Shteyngart at the B&N Review, and browse write-ups of the best in literary fiction. Come to our Facebook page to weigh in on what it means to be a book nerd. Browse digital deals on the NOOK blog, tweet about books with us,or self-publish your latest novella with NOOK Press. And for those of you looking for support for your NOOK, the NOOK Support Forums will still be here.

We will continue to provide you with books that make you turn pages well past midnight, discover new worlds, and reunite with old friends. And we hope that you’ll continue to tell us how you’re doing, what you’re reading, and what books mean to you.

simple nook screensavers

I found a website called nook-look.com that has hundreds of screensavers/wallpapers that you can use on your nook and all of them are great quality and fit the nook screen perfectly, but I am a simple kind of guy and I just want a simple screensaver, say just a blank screen with the "n" symbol (like the wallpaper that comes pre-loaded) or maybe some thing that just says "nook by Barnes & Noble." There is no search field on nook-look, and so far I've had no luck finding my simple wallpaper. Does anyone have a link to such a screensaver? Or does anyone know how to take the preloaded "n" wallpaper and load it as a screensaver? I've searched through all the folders in my nook and can't find the pre-loaded wallpapers or screensavers anywhere.

Thanks.

Re: simple nook screensavers

I'm not sure if this is what you want, but I DID find this one.  It's simple.  I love that site, and change my rotation of screensavers weekly, lol.  Anyway, I'm still looking.  If I find something else, I'll post it.

Re: simple nook screensavers

That is a nice pic, thanks. I've gone through 101 pages of wallpapers and haven't seen that one yet...how many pics do they have? LOL

In case you haven't seen this pic yet, I've been using this as my screensaver:

Re: simple nook screensavers

Well have 148 posted of my photography so far.

And have seen at least 50 or so of simple line drawing types.

Look under Artistic or Fine Art for some.

Re: simple nook screensavers

I was hoping that there was someway to take one of the pre-loaded wallpapers and make it into a screensaver, or that maybe someone else had already done so and posted it.

You can do it yourself. Just copy the particular wallpaper to the computer. Re-size it to 600x800 which means turning off maintain aspect ratio. You now have a screensaver size image and copy it back to screensavers instead of wallpapers.
