use multiple dictionaries?

I know the Nook has a dictionary built in, but can you add a dictionary? What I would like to do is have a second dictionary (in this case Spanish), and be able to choose which one I would like to look the word up in. (I don't mean a spanish-english dictionary, but a true dictionary)

Thanks

P.S. I love my Nook!!!!!

Re: use multiple dictionaries?

Hi,

I agree, My native language is spanish, so I like to read Books in Spanish.

PS: Additionally I'm learning Japanese, so a Japanese dictionary would be nice ;-)

Thanks,

Herber

I agree completely.  This is my number one complaint about the Nook.

They built it thinking only about the English-speaking US market, but there's a whole world out there.

You're forgetting that the Nooks are a means to steer readers into buying eBooks through Barnes & Noble instead of other retail agents. Most of the publishers limit Barnes & Noble to completing sales to US customers. The publishers are reserving the right to sell eBooks overseas through other agents. Unless the publishers agree to let Barnes & Noble be an agent in other countries there's no financial incentive for Barnes & Noble to make reading devices useful outside the US.

It's a lot like razor handles and computer printers. If a customer can't buy Gillette blades there's little point to selling them a Gillette handle (which are often sold VERY close to cost, at cost or even at a slight loss). Other razor blade brands do the same thing.

Of course Barnes & Noble is neglecting the significant number of Spanish speaking customers living in the US. Sure a lot of them are bilingual, but many of them might prefer reading Spanish publications.
