I have a question about the nook and ATT wireless. I have ATT service here and have 5 signal bars on my cell phone. however the bars on the nook show up sometimes and sometimes are not present. Are they suppose to be present whenever you have ATT service?? . I do not have 3G here but have the edge( Slower service from ATT). But when I go to the next town where 3G is present I still have the same problem with the ATT signal bars. This happens even if I am in a fixed location and have not move the nook?

There are two issues which might be at play here.
1) The nook will not display the signal strength bars unless it is trying to use the radio. If you are reading a book the radio is off. If you go to check for new B&N content you should see the signal strength bars appear as the radio is activated.
2) If you have an available WiFi connection then the nook will use this instead f the AT&T service. The nook is biased toward this. WiFi is usually faster than 3G and doesn't cost B&N anything.

Thank, I was just not sure if the bars should display all the time or only when using the radio to check for new contents, at home I do use the wifi, since as you say it is faster. I know with my ATT phone the bars display all the time, so I was not sure if the Nook should do this also.
