Books won't stick to shelves, shelves won't re-order

I haven't had the problems described elsewhere about titles disappearing from the Nook shelves. However, I do seem to be unable to add titles (newly sideloaded) to the shelves I created some days ago. I select the place on/off shelf command, get my shelf listing, then touch the appropriate shelf name to get a check mark indicating that the title has been moved to the shelf. However, at this time I touch the shelfname and nothing happens. And again, and again, and again. Is there some way I can get my shelf system working again?

Hm, interesting. I just tried re-ordering my shelves (I can get to the top or to the bottom of the list but it is extremely difficult to get in between, a problem I have with other Nook functions like selecting a screen saver), but that is no longer wroking either. Touching Move This Shelf Up or Move This Shelf Down has no restult.

Time to try rebooting the reading software. Hold the power button for five seconds to shut it down to a white-screen, then turn it back on.
