Can Read exported ebup files

HI!!! my NOOK is new. I got it for my birthday.  I already have a reader (sony) and I want to continue reading the books I just starrted, but when I try to opened the book a popup reads: no activated.  What should I do???

Somewhere in the last day or two someone reported that the nook could read Sony Epub files. 

I thought there was some requirement to had Adobe Digital installed.
