So I just changed the credit card on my B&N account from an old expired one to a new one that I got. The only problem is that my Nook will not let me get any books. It purchases the books but then my order gets cancelled because it still says I have a non-working credit card on my account when I just put in a new and working one about 1 day ago. I have tried un and then re-registering my Nook (Simple Touch) but it still does not work. I have even been to the B&N and called customer support but have been on hold for over 2 hours. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

It might not be your card. This happened to me with a very valid card that had been on my account for years. It was just a hangup in the billing system. It seems that B&N has moved to a new process where they won't let you download the book until the charge clears, and if there's a slowdown in processing the charges you get that message that your card is invalid even when it's not.
I mentioned this in a few posts when it happened to me, but I didn't PM any of the mods. They need to change the message.
In any case, I did get my books, but it took about six hours before I could download them. I had purchased the books on my PC, not on my nook, but I don't think that makes a difference.

6 hours, approximately. I bought the books at night and then eventually gave up and went to bed. I got the emails saying my books were ready to download about 6 hours after my order, about 3am my time (6am Eastern). It was a few more hours later when I woke up, got the emails and downloaded the books.
Were you able to resolve the issue?
