I'm trying not to go out of my mind about this but ever since the 1.1.0 firmware update every book on the currently reading page is stuck on Page 1 of 1. To make matters worse, when I click the book or the icon in the top left corner it goes all the way back to page 1 like I never opened the book previously. On occasion it will give a message saying "this book is on page X on another device. Do you want to sync to furthest page read or stay where you are?" That question doesn't make sense because I don't sync to any other device or any other application.
Am I the only person this is happening to? Is this a new bug in the latest firmware update (1.1.0)?

Just writing to say that my issue has been resolved. I chatted with Nook Tech Support and I had to deregister & erase the device then register it again + do set-up. I hope this works for anyone who has this issue as well.

I'm back again to say that the Page 1 of 1 bug is still there on the home page of my Nook Simple Touch. *sigh* I'm not sure how this can be resolved and it's really frustrating.
p.s. This thread should really be in the Nook Simple Touch Technical Support forum. The threads seem to have been rearranged again within the past week.

For sideloaded ebooks;
- On your nook go to the Library view.
- Connect your nook into your PC.
- Delete the sideloaded ebook from your nook.
- Safely disconnect your nook from the PC.
- Reconnect the nook to your PC and sideload the ebook again.
Open the book from the Library view opposed to using the Home Screen or Continue Reading icon. The first time you open the book you should receive a document error message. Ignore the message and open the book again. It should now open normally to the current page and the correct page numbers displayed on the Home Screen when you return there.
*if the books are on an SD card powering off the nook, removing the SD card, powering on the nook, powering off the nook and inserting the SD card should also work. I never tried this because getting the SD card out is a pain.*
To avoid this issue;
- Never connect the nook to your PC with a book open;
- Be sure you are in Library view before connecting to the PC.
- Always safely disconnect from the PC.
*Depending on your operating system and other processes running at the time, your PC may not always be capable of properly ejecting the nook drive.*

Removing the sd and reinserting it does work. I found this out by accident, transferring my card to a new ST. Now it shows the correct pg number. I did notice that after I unplugged it from my computer, it went back to the pg1, but after opening the book, and returning to the home screen, the correct pg number came back.

@gstone and @victoria77,
You are both lifesavers! Thanks so much for your suggestions!! I tried both and it seems the disconnecting from PC (I use a MacBook Pro) method worked. I'll be sure to remember not to connect while a book is open and do it from the library view.
Taking the SD card out is actually pretty painless for me. The design of the card slot makes it easy. Too bad that method didn't work...lol.
Thanks again!

Sadly gstone's idea did not work for me. Any book that is on my SD card that I side loaded shows up on the home page as being on page 1 of 1. Books that I purchased via B&N do not exhibit this behavior.

This solution (for inbuilt memory) helped me! And now I don't have this terrible "1of1" on my Home screen!
Plus I want to highlight that all of highlights in books were still there, when I copied them back on my nook!
Plus I want to say to those, who can not deal with the problem:
In my case the book opened on the 1st page only from "HomeScreen". And from the library - everything was all right!
Thank you very much for the solution!
