Error Downloading Version 1.5

I've tried several times to download the new 1.5 software. I get a message saying "Downloading software update" and then it immediately changes to "Error Downloading".

Anyone else getting this problem?

I keep getting the same message as well. I tried powering it down and back up, but it's still not working.

yep, me too.  It's just a .dat file, not even executable ... I think somebody goofed and put the wrong file out there.  Neither method worked.  I will keep trying, sooner or later they'll fix it I'm sure.

I get the error downloading message too on wifi, so I am downloading to my laptop right now. Hope this will work.

I just downloaded it manually and it is now updating. I saw that the file I tried to download through WiFi had 0kb, but the manual file had like 67,---- kb.

I was facing the same problems updating via wifi. Downloading on laptop works.

I am trying to download the new update via WIFI and I am getting the same error.

I manage to download the update now, it says "Downloading Update 0/oo and it has been stuck there for 10 minutes, I don't know what should I do

I got the same error.  I downloaded the update to my computer and then to the nook.  Unplugged the nook from my computer and it is installing the update now.

It isn't the wrong file.  I had an error message when I tried to download it over WiFi so I just downoaded it to my computer and updated my NOOK manually.  The file is only supposed to be dragged and dropped onto the main NOOK drive.  It doesn't need to be executable because you aren't supposed to try to open it.

Error message here as well.  I manually downloaded it onto computer and then dragged and dropped file in Nook.

I got the error message the first few times I tried to download the update via wifi - but I just tried to be patient and tried again after a while... finally the download started and once it did it completed with no problems. Haven't really checked it out yet but I can already say the contrast seems more crisp and the page turns are MUCH faster! Thanks B&N!

I had to touch the check for new b&n content several times before it worked and by several I mean 20-30 times.  Just keep at it and it will work eventually.

Same here.  Saw the error a few times, but was patient.  After a while I didn't see the error message anymore.  I turned my nook off completely, then restarted and all was fine!!

WOW!!  Page turns are incredibly faster than before, though I didn't think they were that slow before.  Time to figure out what else is new.
