I've registered my nook and completed the software download. I'm able to download samples but when I try to buy a book it says my Nook was unable to connect. I have a default credit card entered. Is anyone else having problems downloading a book at this time?

I had the same problem with the 1st, and so far only, book I tried to purchase through the nook.
I had to purchase it via my PC, then look for new content on the nook to get it. This happened on
Christmas Day, so perhaps traffic was the issue?
I haven't tried to purchase another ebook, yet. Let's hope it was a holiday overload issue.

I think for the most part download is working for most people now. Specifically at what point do you get that message? i.e.
- are you successfully in the store
- with book selected
- clicking on "Buy for $x.xx
- clicking on the confirmation "Buy now"?
Also, can you successfully go online on your PC, purchase a book, and then download it by checking for new B&N content in the library?

I'm getting the error after I confirm the purchase. It looks like everything is working great until I confirm and then it says it can't connect. I haven't purchased a book on my PC yet to transfer to my nook, I was going to try that next to make sure that at least works. I checked the default credit card and address, but I am using a MasterCard and was wondering if the VISA card is really the solution?

had this problem also and after waiting on hold literally for 1.5 hours found out that if you delete then re-enter your default credit card this problem will resolve
