Home Page - Currently Reading Page Number stuck at 1

Hello,

After the 1.1 update the Reading Now section shows I am on page 1 of 1 regardless of what page I'm actually on.

I did observe that this only happens on Sideloaded content, official BN downloads work normally.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Thanks.

This has been happening to me too, intermittently. I just did a Factory Reset back to 1.0.0 and then upgraded back to 1.1.0, and now, it says 1 of 1 for a second before fetching the correct page numbers.

I'm gonna see if turning on and off will make it come back.

But I'm not gonna do any more testing than that. Have my own problems (see the WiFi thread). I just wanna read my books dang it!

Re: Home Page - Currently Reading Page Number stuck at 1

 I find it happens when I sideload books if;

  •  I inadvertantly disconnect from the PC or Vista refuses to release the drive.
  • The book I am reading is left open rather than in the Library menu

This is a bug that has been around for a while.

Removing the book from the nook and copying it back fixes the issue after opening the book from the Library opposed to using either the Home Screen cover image or the Continue Reading icon at the top left.

It also happened to the book I was currently reading after the update. I got to rember to close books and get off the home screen before connecting to the PC.

same problem here after the nst 1.1 update.  any book i'm reading shows up on the home page listed as page 1 of 1, and the bigger problem is that it always goes to page 1 no matter what page you are really on if you touch it.

Thanks.  That's exactly what it was.  I removed the sideloaded book, disconnected the nook from the PC.  Then reconnected it and copied it back.  After this the page numbers were normal. :smileyhappy:

I forgot to mention the bold text step or that you may get an error message opening the book the first time. Good to hear you got it working again.
