Magazine not available for download

I purchased a subscription the American Photo magazine (On the NOOK I believe) and when I was attempting to download it to my Nook along with all the others, The NOOK informed me that "This title is currently not available for download to this device."  So I thought, ok, maybe it's to graphicy for the Nook and tried to view it on the PC Application installed to my desktop computer, and I am informed that "This title is currently not available for download for this application. (Download: 2138)"  Now, I can see it maybe not being viewable on the Classic NOOK, but on my PC?

Although always pleasant, I dislike calling Technical Support and trying to obtain Technical support over the phone....  Can someone please inform me of what is going on with this?

Re: Magazine not available for download

On the page for each magazine/newspaper it will tell you what you can use to read it.  The American Photo one you mention says, "Read exclusively on these devices/apps:  NOOKcolor"

And when it says exclusively, it means exclusively.  It will not work on your computer, Nook, Phone ore anything other than the NOOKcolor.

The above is based upon my opinion... yours may vary!

Well, this is January of 2012 and the same problem still exists, not only on PCs but also on Nook devices, especially with newspapers. I guess Nook engineers are retired old Microsoft guys who still can't fix anything without asking Bill.

Time Magazine is also limited to the NT, Nook and Nook color, and is not available for reading on anything else (including iPad, etc.).  Note that since I've already bought the subscription I can't see the "for sale" page that shows the limitation on what it can be "exclusively" read on when I'm logged in, but when I log off and look for the Nook magazine subscription it provides the limitation.  Bummer.

Re: Magazine not available for download

One would think the executives running the news & media organizations would wake up and realize the benefit of delivering content digitally and providing their customers access to the content they have paid for.  It will take a few years for these folks to die off and be replaced by a younger and more tech savy crowd before we can all get the proper access to the content we have paid for.
