Missing (Grey) Book Covers, Any Way to Fix This? [ Edited ]

I just got my Nook yesterday. I've downloaded 3 books from B&N's store. 1 of the covers (Jared Diamond's Germs, Guns, and Steel) is not showing up. It appears only as a grey box. 

Yes, I've tried restarting it, and I've been waiting for about 24 hours for it to 'show up' (as some people have insisted they show up eventually).

So, what are my options? Does Calibre allow you to change book covers?

I imagine there are people out there that would like to change their book covers (to the covers of other editions, etc). Also, one of my Tolkien novel's covers is slightly stretched out. That's another reason I'd like to be able to customize my covers. 

B&N should simplify the cover situation (like iTunes, for example). They should make it very easy to throw an image in for a book cover without being too picky about size, resolution, file type, etc. But really any change would be welcomed.

Calibre does allow you to change book covers. You can provide your own graphic or download one via Calibre.

This is a publisher problem, not a B&N problem.

Not all books come with covers, that is a choice made by the publisher of the ebook, not the book seller.
