Nook Touch won't download wirelessly

My Nook Touch worked fine for 6 mos or so.  Had to change credit cards, which it accepted & confirmed  wirelessly, and I've change the CC in my online account.  But when I try to purchase wirelessly it says there's a problem with the card.  Downloads perfectly via the USB cable.  I called B&N help and they told me to reset my Nook, but I understand it wipes out all your purchased books.  Any ideas?

It deletes the purchased books from your Nook, not your account.  So you re-register the device and you can download your books again.  It sounds like there is a disconnect between what you input via the Nook and what you input on the website.  For the future, you don't need to change it on or via the Nook, you only need to change it on the website and the Nook will pick up the new cc info for new books.  And since you will have to download the previously purchased books again, they will also be tied to the new cc.
