This issue has yet to be resolved for me (after nearly six months, several calls to customer service, and three posts on this forum). The bottom line is that I can no longer download books at home. I have to go someplace with a "better" wi-fi connection (even though my own wi-fi connection worked fine before Firmware Update 1.5 and still works fine for everything else). Does anyone know when we can expect a firmware update that resolves this issue? I must say that the responsiveness of B&N to this problem is so poor that it borders on the unprofessional. With a new editiion of the Nook coming soon, perhaps they simply intend to leave owners of the old Nook "in the dust". I am afraid that I am losing faith in this company...

If the 1.6 update released today doesn't fix it, you're probably stuck. Sam says, "We don’t anticipate any further updates at this time."
