Since 1997, you’ve been coming to BarnesandNoble.com to discuss everything from Stephen King to writing to Harry Potter. You’ve made our site more than a place to discover your next book: you’ve made it a community. But like all things internet, BN.com is growing and changing. We've said goodbye to our community message boards—but that doesn’t mean we won’t still be a place for adventurous readers to connect and discover.

Now, you can explore the most exciting new titles (and remember the classics) at the Barnes & Noble Book Blog. Check out conversations with authors like Jeff VanderMeer and Gary Shteyngart at the B&N Review, and browse write-ups of the best in literary fiction. Come to our Facebook page to weigh in on what it means to be a book nerd. Browse digital deals on the NOOK blog, tweet about books with us,or self-publish your latest novella with NOOK Press. And for those of you looking for support for your NOOK, the NOOK Support Forums will still be here.

We will continue to provide you with books that make you turn pages well past midnight, discover new worlds, and reunite with old friends. And we hope that you’ll continue to tell us how you’re doing, what you’re reading, and what books mean to you.

Re: Nook's Web Browser

touch the beta browser button and you should get a gen info page.

down at the bottom you will see some icons . touch go to

you will see some choices  web page, lhome page, search

select web page

then type in the google url and submit

www.google.com

you should see the google page come up and up top of the e-ink screen  you will see images, videos, maps news shopping gmail more.  you can select one of those.

if you choose to you can do a google search in the color scrfeen by touching the google entry line which should bring up the kybd screen.  try that much and see if that gets you going

Re: Nook's Web Browser

if you have trouble getting the icons to come up, look in the color screen and touch the 4 bar icon on the left upper corner.  that will show you the go to option. or you can just read the features of the web browser and follow the info. i hadnt tried to send an email til now.  but it works pretty much like on your computer.  to go fm box to box you have to touch submit after typing your info.  then scroll to the line you want to and touch that box to bring up the kybd again.  after your are done with your last submit, scroll back to the top and find the send button and touch it.

Re: Nook's Web Browser

Access the mobile version of Gmail directly and it works great.

http://m.gmail.com

Go to the menu bar and put it in as one of your favorites.  Use the + button to zoom in.  Text flow works great.

Notice that your contacts in Gmail are available.  Also, in gmail you can send Text messages to cell phones.

Re: Nook's Web Browser

To the moderators/developers. Please allow opening of PDF documents from the web. Its desperately needed for viewing journals.  I would be even better to be able to save them to the device from the web as well.

Thanks in advance.
